Types of Membership

1. General Member

The person qualified as mentioned in the article no of this statute can be the member of the association if one pays the membership fee along with the recommendation of two executive members of the association. The persons willing to get the general membership should submit the application with the required procedure paying NPR 500.00 (Rupees Five Hundred) as general membership fee and additional NPR 500.00 (Rupees Five Hundred) as annual fee. The person qualified as mentioned in the article no 7 of this statue can be member of the association if one pays the membership fee along with the recommendation of two executive members of the Association.

 

2. Founding Member

The members of the ad-hoc committee to register the Association only fall under this category. The founding members will automatically turn to be lifelong members once the Association gets legality. However, they should get the lifelong membership and pay the fee as mentioned in the statue.

3. Lifelong member

The general member who contribute specially for the development of Association can be provided the lifelong membership if the majority of the executive committee recommends.

4. Advisor member

Advisor member can be the dignified person who has been working for the development of the Association and to achieve its goal continuously, if the general assembly decides in his/her favor. These members shall not pay any membership fee and they won’t have the voting rights as well. This sort of membership can be given to the international persons too.

5. Institutional member

Any social organization can take this membership if they follow the due process for an individual. The institutional member will have only one voting right.

6. Honorary member

Person renowned in the national or international social work sector will be provided the honorary membership if the Association decides but such member won’t have voting rights.

 

7. Institutional members

Any social organization/academic institution who is involved in social work education and social work practice representing professional social workers can take this membership as per the procedure/process mentioned in the statue for an individual. The institutional member will have only one voting right.
